Why use our Trusted Traders?

We care who we put into our directory – we only advertise traders that we would use in our own homes.

Our whole concept was set up with you in mind. Our aim being that every resident or homeowner should be protected from rogue traders when they need a trade’s service provider within their home environment. Over the past 14 years we have helped up to 1.1 million homeowners annually find a trustworthy, professional company to complete everything from aerial installation to washing machine repairs.

Warning – Not all publications are the same!

These days it is normal to receive a mound of leaflets, local newspapers and magazines every week in our household post. Most of these publications do not do the checks we do, nor are they interested should things go wrong.  While the advert might look professional, you really have no knowledge who you are dealing with.  Why would you use any other publication, when Quick Find have done all the ground work for you? 

How do we check our Traders?

Every Quick Find Directories approved trader is rigorously checked by our team to ensure homeowners have peace of mind when choosing any of our companies.
Our vetting procedure includes:

  1. A full business check is carried out on all new trades companies that join us. This confirms their identity and business address, plus it protects against existing or previous county court judgments, including bankruptcy.
  2. We like to chat to our new trader’s previous customers. We make it our business to find out how the customer felt about workmanship, reliability and punctuality before we place them in our directory.
  3. A copy of their public liability insurance is required to safeguard both the homeowner and the trader in many instances.
  4. Trade qualifications are essential for many trades, especially for gas and electric. We ensure that our traders are qualified to do what they are advertising.

Only once each new company has had a successful outcome from the checks above will they be placed in our directories.

What if things go wrong?

We are realistic in our approach and understand that sometimes things can go wrong.  Communications can break down between the homeowner and trades person, different expectations, delays etc.
